gcuirb Free application review

Privacy: what this site collects, and what it does with it.

Written to be read, not to be scrolled past. Last revised 23 August 2026.

The short version

This site collects what you type into it — the intake form, the seasonal offer form, the docket notice, and the chat — and nothing else. It sets no cookies and carries no advertising or analytics trackers. What you send goes to our own lead-handling system, is read by the consultants on the bench, and is used to reply to you and to prepare your file. It is not sold, and it is not shared with Grand Canyon University or anyone else.

What we collect, and when

  • The intake form (the free application review, on the homepage and the contact page): your name if you give it, your email, your phone, where your manuscript stands, the program if you choose one, and your note.
  • The seasonal offer form: your name if you give it, your email, your phone, and which season's offer you claimed.
  • The docket notice (the subscribe form in the footer and on the newsletter page): your email.
  • The chat: the messages you type, and the page you were on when you opened it.
  • Documents you send us afterwards by email — proposals, letters from the board, instruments — which we use only to prepare your file.

Each form also carries a hidden field that people never see and automated scripts fill in; if it is filled, the submission is discarded. That is the whole of our spam defence, and it collects nothing from you.

Where it goes

Form submissions and chat messages are sent to a lead-handling system the practice operates for itself, hosted with a cloud provider in the United States. They are read there by the consultants on the bench and by the practice's own staff who support them. We use the details to reply to you, to run the free application review, to quote and carry out any package you accept, and — for the docket notice — to send the one email the notice promises when GCU's process changes.

We do not sell your details. We do not share them with Grand Canyon University, the College of Doctoral Studies, the university's IRB, or any other institution. We do not share them with advertisers. We share them only with the providers who host the site and the system described above, to the extent needed to run them.

What sits in your browser

The site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's session storage — which is cleared when the tab closes — for three small flags: whether the seasonal offer has already been shown to you, a chat session identifier so the conversation continues as you move between pages, and whether the chat prompt has already nudged you once. None of these identifies you to us, and none leaves your browser except the chat session identifier, which is sent with your chat messages so the desk can see them as one conversation.

Fonts load from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives the request — including your IP address — as it would for any file it serves. We do not receive anything from that request.

How long we keep it

Details you send in a form are kept while your file is open and for our records afterwards, so that a returning candidate does not have to start from nothing. Documents you send for a file are kept while the file is open and for a limited period after it closes. Chat transcripts are kept with the rest of your file. If you want anything deleted sooner, ask — see below — and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

  • Ask what we hold. Write to hello@gcuirb.com and we will tell you.
  • Correct it. Same address.
  • Delete it. Same address. We confirm when it is done.
  • Leave the docket notice. Every email it sends carries a way to stop; replying "stop" works too.

Who this site is for

This site is for doctoral candidates and professionals working on a GCU IRB file. It is not intended for anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect details from them.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and the docket notice says so.

Who we are

gcuirb.com is the doctoral-file desk of an independent consulting practice. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Grand Canyon University, the College of Doctoral Studies, or the university's institutional review board. Questions about this page go to hello@gcuirb.com. The terms page sets out how the practice works with you; the accessibility page sets out how the site is built to be used by everyone.
